Post 50 years of Operation Flood’s inception we could not educate majority of Dairy Farmers to feed their animals as per animals’ nutritional requirement considering their species, breed, physiological status/ life cycle stage and seasonal stress. Poor awareness level has been the major cause of underperformance of Indian livestock in different parameters i.e. higher age at first calving (AFC), lengthy inter calving period, shorter lactation length and low lactation yield.
Therefore to make the nutritional requirement easier for the dairy farmers, FarmVic specifically developed feed for the Growing, Pregnant & Milking animals.
There are TWO TYPES OF FEED for GROWING ANIMALS i.e. Calves (upto 6 Months of age) & Heifers (from 6th Month of age uptoPregnacy), PREGNANCY FEED and TWO TYPES OF MILKING FEED i.e. feed for FIRST HALF OF LACTATION & SECOND HALF OF LACTATION.

Delayed age at first calving (AFC) in cows & buffaloes is a very common feature of Indian Dairy Farming, which in turn reduces the average productive life of our dairy animals and profit from such animals, too. Delayed AFC is a clear cut indication of poor feeding management of calves & heifers, which is happening due to absence of awareness and need based feed for growing animals as well.
